THE GLOSTER ARTS PROJECT
Building community using the arts as a catalyst.
The Arts Matter.
we Build Community Through the arts
We are proud to say that we've been bringing professional artists to Gloster, Centreville, Woodville, and Brookhaven, Mississippi, to teach young people basic concepts in music, film, ceramics, visual arts, theater, poetry, performance, and dance for over 10 years.
Many guest artists have visited our camps to mentor and inspire campers to exercise their imaginations, including: Danny Glover, Cassandra Wilson, Will Calhoun, Tyehimba Jess, Terry McMillan, and Jaron Lanier, among others. Our goal has always been to make our program free the kids and families without easy access to the arts or professional arts instruction, which we are proud to say, we have been able to do since 2014.
If you would like to join us in making this happen each summer, please donate today. No amount is too small!
The Gloster Arts Project is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our program is made possible in part through grants from the National Endowment for the Art, Mississippi Arts Commission, Peter N.G. Schwartz Foundation, Scone Foundation, Find Your Light Foundation, Save the Children, other private foundations, Andy individual donations.TGAP welcomes children ages 6-17 regardless of their race, religion, gender, or physical disabilities.
